Biography
Sarah brings an international and multicultural perspective to her role as Energy Transition Fellow at Alaska Venture Fund, and her passion for community empowerment and renewable energy and water infrastructure is why she chose to come to Alaska. Before joining AVF, Sarah graduated with a B.A. from a dual degree program focused on social sciences and sustainable development from Sciences Po University in Reims, France and Columbia University in New York. Sarah’s Ugandan, Kenyan and British background motivates her to immerse in new cultural contexts and embrace different viewpoints. AVF’s commitment to sustainability and equity aligns perfectly with her desire to further research, design and develop innovative, sustainable and accessible infrastructure opportunities across diverse geographies and landscapes. Sarah is excited to share her time, energy, and expertise to advance environmental justice and energy resilience as part of the AVF team.
