Biography

Born and raised in Interior Alaska, Matt serves as Alaska Venture Fund’s Senior Advisor for Tribal Law and Policy.  Prior to AVF, Matt spent over a decade working as staff attorney at the Alaska office of the Native American Rights Fund where he represented tribal clients in large resource campaigns as well as state and federal court litigation.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Montana School of Law, where he received honors for his work in Tribal Law and Policy.  He now splits his time between Southcentral Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula.
