Biography
Passion for community and learning drew Jocelyn Ciarlone to Alaska Venture Fund. As an avid organizer, Jocelyn is excited by designing and supporting systems to help catalyze change, and she shares AVF’s drive to elevate Alaskan stories and ground change in relationship building.
Jocelyn grew up on the traditional lands of the Wampanoag people (Massachusetts). After earning a bachelors degree in sociology and government from Suffolk University, she moved to Anchorage in 2019 to serve an AmeriCorps term at the Public Defender Agency. She has since gained experience as an outdoor guide in Whittier and a paralegal and intake coordinator at Alaska Legal Services Corp. Jocelyn lives on Dena’ina land in Anchorage and is grateful for all that Alaska and Alaskans have taught her.
