

Biography
Jeff Ennenga is a seasoned wildfire and emergency management professional with over two decades of experience in fire operations, planning, training and building community wildfire resilience. As the Wildfire Resilience Program Director, he leads strategic initiatives to increase wildfire preparedness and emergency response efforts and funding across Alaska.
Jeff’s background includes leadership positions with the Alaska Division of Forestry and Fire Protection, Clackamas Fire District, and Oregon Department of Forestry, as well as teaching wildland fire and emergency management at the college level. He continues to serve in key operational wildfire roles including Planning Section Chief, Incident Commander and Fire Program Administrator. A U.S. Army veteran, Jeff holds a B.S. in Technology with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Alaska Anchorage and has numerous national fire and emergency management certifications. His work bridges on the ground fire leadership with cross-sector collaboration to address growing wildfire risks facing Alaska’s communities.
