

Biography
Simran is motivated by the belief that energy and climate policy are critical to strong, secure, thriving communities. She is especially interested in how local clean energy solutions can support economic opportunity and resilience in places like Alaska – where global importance intersects with local solutions.
As a Climate and Clean Energy Fellow through the Alaska Fellows Program, Simran supports policy research and project coordination related to nature-based climate solutions and clean energy development.
Simran holds a BA in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and a minor in Arabic Studies from George Washington University. Her previous experience includes policy and media work at the U.S. Hydrogen Alliance, and time spent studying and living abroad in India and Egypt. She is currently based in Anchorage on Dena’ina land.
