Biography

Ryan Morse is an artist, graphic designer, and storyteller based in his hometown of Sitka, Alaska (Sheet’ká Kwáan). He is inspired to tell stories and create projects that explore how our environments inspire and nourish us, uplift local and regional community voices, and shine a light on community-based solutions. This passion has led him to his current role as Alaska Venture Fund’s Creative and Digital Communications Specialist. Before this position, Ryan has brought his communications and design skills to other organizations in Southeast Alaska, Oregon, and Germany. Most recently, Ryan worked as the Communications Director for the Sitka Conservation Society, a partner organization of Alaska Venture Fund that works to protect the Tongass National Forest and support thriving communities across the region.

When he’s not behind a camera or computer screen, you will likely find Ryan out hiking or foraging in the woods, mountains, and muskegs with his dog Penny.
